Meet Our Director of Philanthropy
Debbie Bender
Debbie Bender serves as Director of Philanthropy at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital, where she leads the hospital’s philanthropic efforts and works to strengthen the institution’s long-standing partnerships while growing its donor network.
A longtime resident of Connecticut with extensive experience in development and healthcare, Debbie possesses a deep understanding of Charlotte Hungerford’s service area and business community, as well as the hospital’s celebrated history and critical role in northwest Connecticut.
“What I love most about philanthropy is helping donors identify areas where they want to make an impact and working with them to build a stronger, healthier community,” shared Bender. “Charlotte Hungerford Hospital touches so many local lives—and there is also a great number of caregivers within this community—providing support to Charlotte Hungerford really does become neighbor-helping-neighbor.”
