Charlotte Hungerford Hospital’s “Just for the Halibut” swim team raced in their second consecutive Swim Across the Sound on Saturday, August 2, 2025, and once again surpassed their fundraising goal by raising nearly $10,000 for cancer patients, their families, and programs and services that help them focus on their health and healing.
We are grateful to Swim Captain Brian Mattiello, Wendy Simoncelli, Adam Sobek, Annie Sobek, Sage Sobek, and John Wages for representing Charlotte Hungerford Hospital and supporting this meaningful cause.
The 2025 Hartford HealthCare Swim Across the Sound featured 39 swim teams, seven solo swimmers, and more than 400 volunteers. The annual system-wide event raised nearly $1 million for Hartford HealthCare Cancer Institute.
